“Beautiful Villa, Fantastic Staff, Amazing Experience!!”

First visit to Bali. Six of us spent 5 nights at Villa Ambra and it wasn’t nearly long enough! Villa Ambra is a beautiful property and impeccably cared for by the Staff. As gorgeous and well-appointed as the Villa is, what makes Villa Ambra so special is the Staff. I have never had such an amazing travel experience - and to be sure, one I will never forget. Putu, Ketut and 4 lovely pups (Alice, Amanda, Lilly and Lulu) greeted us upon arrival. We were cared for from the moment we walked into the Villa. Delicious welcome drinks and lemon cake were served while we enjoyed the view of the ocean just past the pools and carefully manicured lawn. On the day of our arrival, we enjoyed a superb lunch and dinner and decided right then that we would be canceling our existing dinner reservations and dining at the Villa for the entire trip. I am a foodie living in San Francisco and the chefs (Wayan, Wayan and Hendra) dishes are extraordinary - we opted to stick with Balinese dishes. We ate until we couldn’t take another bite! Ketut arranged massages, manicures and pedicures during our stay. The spa treatments were wonderful! We spent a day with Ketut, Gede and Eka visiting Pura Luhur Batukaru, a traditional street market for spices and gifts, the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, Ulun Danu Temple Bedugul Lake Beratan, lunching (and laughing) together at the Handara Golf & Resort and finishing off the day long journey at Cau Chocolates. We celebrated my sons’ 30th and 31st birthdays with much of the staff (those that were available) on our last night. The stories, laughter and learning about each others cultures will be treasured forever. Gede, Ketut and Eka drove us to our second Bali Villa in Ubud (with a stop at the Monkey Sanctuary along the way!) and while we were preparing for a different adventure, it was so difficult to say goodbye. We plan to keep in touch and are already discussing when we can return to Villa Ambra to visit the staff! We truly felt what it was like to ‘belong anywhere.’ This is a trip we will never forget and will forever cherish the memories that were created. Thank you Villa Ambra Staff for such a unique and phenomenal experience!
